Italian developer Energy Resources, in partnership with a financial group, is qualified for an Ethiopian public tender to install 2 PV plants with 100 MW each. According to the company, Energy Resources is one of 60 companies selected to compete for the $200 million tender.
The project consists in the realization of the photovoltaic plant, from the development to the financing, design, construction and maintenance of the structures, respecting technical and security regulations. The site identified as possible location for the photovoltaic plant is in the Tigrè region, in the north of the country.

Energy Resources, in partnership with an important financial group, is qualified for an Ethiopian public tender for the making of 2 photovoltaic plants (100 MW each).
Energy Resources is one of the 60 companies selected and results to be one of the top 18 businesses that will compete for the 200 million dollars tender.
Energy Resources, in partnership with an International financial group, is one of the companies selected to participate to a public tender for the construction of 2 photovoltaic plants (100 MW each) in Ethiopia, and the contract value is about 200 million dollars.
The project consists in the realization of the photovoltaic plant, from the development to the financing, design, construction and maintenance of the structures, respecting technical and security regulations .
This is a very important challenge for Energy Resources and for the “green revolution” which has always been the mission of the company. In fact in the African continent there are lots of communities with no access to electricity and public net, even if their energy needs are in constant growth. Especially Ethiopia represent an extremely promising market, in which the solar energy can be crucial to improve the conditions of the areas with no access to the net.
The site identified as possible location for the photovoltaic plant is in the Tigrè region, in the north of the country, a strategic place both geographically and for solar irradiation, further valuable with the construction of a photovoltaic plant.
The strategical area and the remarkable dimension of the tender, attract 60 known companies around the world: among the 18 qualified, together with ER, there are Enel Green Power, Sky Power, Biotherm, Acciona, Mitsubishi and TBEA Xinjiang Sunoasis Co.
