Metema has become a place of continuous bomb blasts recently, sources reveal. A bomb was thrown on a cotton factory in Gondar, Metema, and damage has been done. The factory has burnt down to ashes and damages on properties were reported.

The property belongs to the minority led Ethiopian government officials. Until this news was published no loss of life was reported by the bomb blast. Following the blast the regime has rounded up the surrounding residents and have put them in detention. After the incident, it is witnessed, several of the regime’s soldiers were camped at Metema, Gende Wouha area.

No group or individual has taken the responsibility for the bomb blast that happened last Wednesday in Metema. It is well known, the popular uprising has targeted the regime’s officials properties. It is believed; this cotton factory was targeted by the popular uprising because it belongs to the minority led Ethiopian government officials.

It is to be reminded that similar bomb blasts have happened in Bahir Dar and Gondar recently as well.
